Falcons soar past U-32 with a 77-45 victory

NEWPORT — In a dominant performance on the road Friday night, the varsity boys basketball team improved to an 8-4 record after cruising past U-32 with a 77-45 win.

Haidin Chilafoux and Watson Laffoon spearheaded the Falcons’ offense, each netting a game-high 16 points.

Teammates Haidin Boivin and Brayden Pepin also made significant contributions, chipping in 14 points apiece.

The team’s victory was a display of their cohesive gameplay and sharp execution on the court.

Looking ahead, the Falcons are set to host Lyndon in their next match-up on Wednesday, Jan. 24, with games scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., a change from the originally planned times.

In junior varsity action, the Falcons edged out a narrow win over their opponents, with a final score of 49-46.

Scott Kingsley led the scoring for the JV team with 17 points, while Kamryn Huntington added 13 points, contributing to the team’s success.
