Tewksbury man arrested for December break-in, vehicle theft

TEWKSBURY — Police Chief Ryan Columbus announced the arrest of a 41-year-old Tewksbury man, Dana Sacca, in connection with a Dec. 26 break-in on Overlook Drive.

Sacca faces multiple charges, including breaking and entering at night, larceny of a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property over $1,200.

On the night of Dec. 26, Tewksbury Police responded to a reported burglary where various valuable items, including jewelry and electronics, were stolen along with a black Mazda Miata from the residence’s driveway.

Investigators found that the suspects had entered the home through a ground-level window after removing an air conditioner.

Surveillance videos of the suspects were widely circulated, leading to numerous public tips.

An exhaustive investigation led to Sacca’s identification as a suspect.

He was apprehended at a local hotel on Jan. 19.

Chief Columbus praised the Criminal Investigation Division’s efforts in the case and assured the public that the search continues for the second suspect involved.

The investigation is still active, with the possibility of additional charges as new information comes to light.
