DUMMERSTON — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident late Thursday night.
Authorities reported to a crash on Middle Road at around 11 p.m. where they found Kyle R. Proto, 35, of Dummerston, had lost control of his 2017 Dodge Ram truck while navigating a sharp turn, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway.
Proto exhibited signs of impairment during the investigation and was taken into custody.
He was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 6 at 8:30 a.m.
