SANBORNTON — At approximately 9:08 a.m. this morning, New Hampshire State Police troopers from the Troop D and Troop G barracks responded to a collision on Interstate 93 South.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a pickup truck was stationary in the right breakdown lane when it was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.
All of the pickup’s occupants were inside the vehicle during the impact and reported sustaining only minor injuries.
The incident caused traffic delays as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Further details on the cause of the crash are pending as the NHSP continues its investigation.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes while the section of the highway was cleared and investigated.
The NHSP is urging drivers to exercise caution and to be alert for disabled vehicles when traveling on the highways.
