BETHEL — A Tunbridge woman was cited for retail theft and making false reports to law enforcement authorities after an incident at a local auto parts store, Vermont State Police said.

Brittany A. Moses, 34, allegedly stole items valued at less than $900 from O’Reilly Auto Parts in Bethel on Jan. 15.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks were called to the store around 12:15 p.m. after receiving the theft report.

A vehicle matching the description given by a witness was subsequently stopped by police.

The stolen merchandise was recovered from the vehicle, and Moses was taken into custody without incident.

Moses was transported to the Royalton Barracks, where she was cited for the alleged theft and for providing false information to police officers.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in court to face the charges.
