KILLINGTON — A collision involving two vehicles occurred on East Mountain Road near High Ridge Rd amid snowy weather at 4 p.m. today.
According to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks, Hengrui Liu, 27, of New York, NY, was driving a 2016 Tesla Model X eastbound when he lost control at a right-hand turn and struck a westbound 2021 Jeep Gladiator, driven by Edward Coleman, 46, of Killingworth, CT.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported at the scene.
The Tesla sustained contact damage to the driver’s door, while the Jeep’s front end was also damaged.
Despite the snow-covered and slick road conditions, no serious injuries occurred as a result of the crash.
The Vermont State Police were assisted by members of the Killington Fire Department in responding to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities remind drivers to exercise caution while driving in winter weather conditions.
