CONCORD — Just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 14, Concord Police officers responded to a 911 call on Broad Cove Drive, where a man was reportedly breaking into a vehicle and was later injured in a confrontation with the vehicle’s owner.
The Concord Fire Department provided medical assistance, transporting the suspect to Concord Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators secured the area to collect evidence.
Detectives who arrived on the scene shortly after the initial response believe that the man may have tampered with several other unlocked vehicles in the vicinity before the incident.
Concord Police are urging residents of Broad Cove Drive and nearby neighborhoods to inspect their vehicles and outbuildings for signs of theft or tampering.
Those who believe they have been victimized should contact the Concord Police Department.
Additionally, residents with home surveillance systems are asked to review footage for any unusual overnight activity and to preserve any relevant recordings.
