CHELSEA — A 16-year-old Chelsea resident was arrested Saturday evening on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and domestic assault, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers, along with an on-call crisis worker from Clara Martin, responded to a call at Odonnell Rd. at 7:16 p.m.
Upon arrival, they conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of the teen for allegedly causing bodily harm to a 23-year-old family member and threatening further harm with a deadly weapon.
Due to the nature of the incident, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities.
The teen was taken into custody and later released to the Department for Children and Families (DCF).
The Orange County State’s Attorney’s office and the court have ordered that Edson be charged as an adult.
He has been summoned to appear in the Orange County Criminal Division to face the charges.
