RUTLAND — A routine patrol led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Rutland man on charges of heroin possession and an outstanding warrant, Vermont State Police said Saturday.
Travis Bunnell was located by troopers around 5:22 p.m. Saturday in a shopping plaza, where they took him into custody without incident.
Police said they had been aware of an active warrant for Bunnell’s arrest prior to the encounter.
During a search following the arrest, troopers found suspected heroin on Bunnell.
He was subsequently transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center and lodged on the warrant.
Bunnell is scheduled to appear in Rutland County Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 2 at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
