Newport’s Gateway Center to light up with Winter Saturdays starting tomorrow

NEWPORT — Newport is set to come alive with the Winter Saturdays series, offering a blend of live music, local food, and children’s movies every Saturday from Jan. 6 through Feb. 24. Hosted at The Gateway Center from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., the event promises an engaging mix of entertainment and dining for $15, which includes a meal and dancing. After 7:00 pm, admission drops to $10, and children under 12 can enjoy the festivities for free.

Local businesses are joining in the spirit of the event:

  • The Warehouse Restaurant will feature a special offer of a 16 oz. beer or a glass of wine for just $4 from 5-6 p.m. on these Saturdays.
  • Eden Specialty Ciders invites guests for tastings every Saturday afternoon until 6 p.m.
  • Lago will entice with half-price appetizers (one per person) from 5-6 p.m.
  • Additionally, attendees are encouraged to support local retailers such as Rad Rags, MAC Center, The Crooked Stripe Antiques, Newport Natural, Newport Jewelers, and the Pick & Shovel.
