FALL RIVER — The Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section has added a suspect in a recent Fall River homicide to its Most Wanted list.

On May 13, the Fall River Police Department responded to several 911 calls about a shooting on County Street.

Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Diamonte Odom with a gunshot wound to the head.

Odom was quickly transported to a nearby Rhode Island hospital but later died from his injuries.

The investigation, carried out by the Fall River Police Department Major Crimes Division and the State Police Detective Unit for Bristol County, led to an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Tajon J. Saxon.

Saxon is charged with murder and firearms offenses.

Described as a black male, around 5’10” tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds, Saxon has brown hair, brown eyes, and has used the alias Jameel Carr.

He is known to have connections in the Fall River area, as well as Rhode Island and New York.

Authorities warn that Saxon should be considered armed and dangerous, especially since the firearm involved in the May 13 homicide has not been recovered.

Saxon is also wanted on additional arrest warrants unrelated to the homicide.

These include charges of accessory after the fact of murder, obstructing a police officer, and various narcotics and motor vehicle offenses.

The public is advised not to approach Saxon if he is seen.

Instead, anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873) or to call 911 immediately.
