SALEM — A report of a suspicious man on the grounds of Fisk School prompted staff to confront the individual, leading to a police response Wednesday afternoon.
Salem Police received a call at approximately 1:35 p.m. after school staff encountered the man who then fled on foot.
Officers searched the immediate and surrounding areas and eventually located the suspect.
Upon interviewing the individual, he claimed he was simply cutting through the school property on his way home.
Authorities have determined there is currently no threat to Fisk School or the general public.
Despite the resolved encounter, the Salem Police Department is continuing their investigation into the incident.
