BARTON — A burglary was reported to the Vermont State Police on Dec. 31, with a homeowner on Willoughby Lake Road discovering their home had been broken into sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The stolen item is a distinctive gold Clara Irish diamond ring, which constitutes a significant loss for the homeowner.
As the Vermont State Police continue their investigation into the incident, they have not yet identified any suspects in the case.
The authorities are seeking assistance from the public.
