WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a man late Friday night following a stabbing incident on Main Street.
At approximately 9:48 p.m., police were called to 765 Main St after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Upon their arrival, they found a 43-year-old male victim with serious stab wounds.
Officers provided immediate medical assistance until the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

An internal department communication was sent out with images of a male and female who were potentially linked to the stabbing.
An officer on detail near the intersection of Austin and Irving Sts recognized the pair from the circulated picture.
The male suspect was uncooperative and refused to comply with the officer’s commands to show his hands.
The officer waited for backup before apprehending the suspect.
A pat frisk of the man revealed a knife with what appeared to be dried blood.
Further evidence collected at the scene connected him to the stabbing.
