CAMBRIDGE — A two-vehicle collision on VT Route 15 near VT Route 104 led to a DUI charge for a Newport woman on Dec. 27.
Vermont State Police responded to the incident at approximately 4:56 p.m. in Cambridge.
According to authorities, Janineve Weber, 38, was turning right onto VT Route 15 from Old Route 15, when she took the corner too widely and crossed over the center line, colliding with a vehicle driven by Armand Boucher, 51, of Essex.
Weber’s 2015 Honda Accord and Boucher’s 2023 GMC Savana both suffered minor damages to their front bumpers.
No injuries were reported for either party involved, including Weber’s passenger, Wanda Moses, 68, also from Newport.
During the investigation, troopers found indications of impairment with Weber.
She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and processed at the Morrisville Police Department.
Weber was released with a citation to appear at the Lamoille County Superior Court on Feb. 7 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the DUI charge.
