BRADFORD — Vermont State Police are investigating a series of break-ins that occurred early Friday morning at Elizabeth’s Park and Oxbow High School.

Authorities were alerted to a burglary at the park’s recreation building and a storage building at the high school shortly after midnight.

Surveillance footage captured a small truck trespassing across the park grounds to the Oxbow property, where the burglars gained entry to the storage building and discharged a fire extinguisher.

The perpetrators then moved back to Elizabeth’s Park.

Video evidence shows an unidentified male with a large hammer breaking a small window on the rear door of the recreation building to access the interior.

The suspect, clad in an orange Carhartt hooded sweatshirt and shoes with distinct purple shoelaces, was recorded smashing security cameras inside the facility and stealing a pair of black shoes from the lost and found.

The Vermont State Police have not yet identified the suspects and are urging the public to come forward with any information related to the incident.

Witnesses or those with relevant information are encouraged to contact Trooper Jason Haley at the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
