ST. JOHNSBURY — A two-vehicle crash on North Danville Road left both drivers with moderate injuries Thursday morning.
State Troopers, along with local fire and rescue squads, were dispatched to the scene near 431 North Danville Rd. at 9:18 a.m. where they found heavy front-end damage to both vehicles involved.
Katherine Stone, 23, of St. Johnsbury, was driving a 2023 Hyundai Elantra southeast when her vehicle crossed the center line into the opposing lane, colliding head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Sean Lamphear, 27, of Newport, who was traveling northeast.
Both Stone and Lamphear sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital by ambulance.
An investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
Traffic on North Danville Road was blocked temporarily.
