BRATTLEBORO — A New York man was arrested Wednesday on charges of negligent operation and excessive speed after being clocked at 108 mph on Interstate 91, where the speed limit is 65 mph.
Sgt. Norton of the Windham County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 21-year-old Austin C. Estell of Cambridge, New York, following the high-speed incident.
According to authorities, Estell was released on the scene with a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, on a later date.
Alongside the charges, he received a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.
