BOSTON — A 15-year-old was arrested late Thursday night after Boston police found a firearm with a high-capacity magazine in an East Boston home.
At about 10:32 p.m. on Dec. 14, officers from District A-7 responded to a report of an individual with a gun at 149 Brooks Street.
Boston Police Operations had informed the officers that a juvenile male was suspected of possessing a firearm.
Upon entering the residence, officers observed a firearm on the kitchen table.
They were informed that the juvenile was upstairs.
After locating the teen and securing him in handcuffs, the firearm was seized and found to have 17 rounds in the magazine.
The juvenile was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, ammunition, a large capacity feeding device, and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.
The charges are being processed as delinquent acts due to the suspect’s age.
The teen is set to be arraigned in East Boston District Court.
