BERKSHIRE — A Berkshire man was arrested late Monday night on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault, endangering a child, and interfering with access to emergency services, Vermont State Police reported.

At 11:47 p.m. on Dec. 11, authorities responded to a 911 call from a residence on W Berkshire Rd.

The call reported an ongoing domestic assault.

The subsequent investigation by the Vermont State Police identified Brandon Myott, 30, as the assailant.

Myott allegedly assaulted a 21-year-old household member, including strangulation, all in the presence of a juvenile child.

During the incident, Myott also reportedly prevented the victim from making two separate calls to emergency services.

He was apprehended and processed at the St. Albans State Police Barracks following the incident.

Myott was then taken to the Northwest Correctional Facility, where he was held on a $5,000 bail.

He is ordered to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to face the charges levied against him.

The Vermont State Police have withheld the victim’s name, adhering to policies protecting the identities of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
