1 min read

NEWPORT — A special event dubbed “Foster Fest” is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, at the North Country Career Center, Room 380, to address the urgent need for foster homes in the community. The event, featuring a light dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by an informational session from 6 to 8 p.m., is focused on encouraging individuals and families to consider fostering.

The session aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the various fostering options available, including short-term, long-term, and foster-to-adopt. This initiative comes at a crucial time when many children are unable to be with their families and need a nurturing environment to grow and thrive.
