SANBORNTON — A significant police presence in the Upper Bay Road area Friday night was the result of a State Police chase, with the suspect ultimately evading capture on foot.
State Police, aided by police K9 units, initiated a search for the individual following a pursuit that led to the suspect fleeing into the nearby vicinity.
Despite extensive efforts, the suspect remained at large as of late Friday.
Authorities have confirmed the identity of the suspect, noting that the incident was related to motor vehicle charges and assuring that there was no immediate threat to public safety.
The operation was a collaborative effort between the New Hampshire State Police and the Sanbornton Police Department.
Officials emphasized that if there had been any risk to the community, residents would have been promptly informed and given appropriate guidance.
