NEW HAVEN — A 27-year-old New Haven man was charged with simple assault following an altercation with a 74-year-old local resident, police said.
Vermont State Police reported that on Dec. 2, at approximately 12:44 p.m., Randy A. McEntee became involved in a verbal argument with Baldev Singh at 202 Ethan Allen Highway.
The dispute escalated when McEntee pushed Singh to the ground, causing minor injuries.
Authorities located McEntee on Dec. 4 and issued a citation for him to appear in Addison County Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge of simple assault.
The court date has not been disclosed.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
