BROWNINGTON — A Brownington man was taken into custody late Friday evening after his vehicle was found off the roadway on Schoolhouse Road amid cloudy weather and intermittent snow.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 10:02 p.m. to find a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado without damage and the driver, 26-year-old Charles Jokinen, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Troopers reported that upon their arrival, Jokinen showed several signs of impairment.
He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.
Jokinen was later released with a citation to appear in court.
Greniers Truck Stop provided assistance at the scene.
There were no reported injuries from the incident, and no hospitalization was required.
