RUTLAND — A local woman was arrested early Saturday morning after state police responded to a domestic incident.
At approximately 3:42 a.m. on Dec. 2, troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were called to a family fight in Rutland Town.
The investigation led to the arrest of Alexis Fitzgerald, 24, on charges of second-degree aggravated domestic assault and violation of conditions of release.
Fitzgerald reportedly resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks.
Following processing, she was lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility due to inability to post the $500 bail required.
Fitzgerald is scheduled to appear in Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division to face her charges at a date and time to be determined.
