RUTLAND — A local man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence late Friday night after a vehicle crash on Kendall Avenue.
Vermont State Police said they responded to the incident at 9:52 p.m. and identified the driver as Patrick Benini, 33, of Rutland City.
Upon arrival, troopers observed signs of impairment in Benini’s behavior.
After a field investigation, Benini was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was later issued a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court to face the DUI charge.
No injuries were reported in the crash, and further details about the incident have not been released.
Benini is expected to appear in court to answer the charge at a date yet to be determined.
