MILTON — A 20-year-old Georgia man was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after being found with a disabled vehicle on Interstate 89.
At about 2:15 a.m., a Trooper from the Williston Field Station located the vehicle at mile marker 104.
The car matched the description of one involved in an earlier incident where a man was reported unconscious at the wheel at the Waterbury Rest Area, authorities said.
John Gallagher, the driver, was identified as the individual from the earlier report.
Troopers observed signs of impairment when interacting with Gallagher, which led to his arrest.
Gallagher was taken to the Williston Police Department for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on Jan. 11 to face DUI charges.
