Gardner drug bust yields firearms and narcotics, one arrested

GARDNER — A significant drug bust on Thursday led to the seizure of narcotics and firearms, with one man facing multiple charges, according to Gardner Police Department and federal authorities.

Members of the Gardner PD, North Worcester County Drug Task Force, and the DEA Worcester HIDTA Federal Drug Task Force carried out a state search warrant at an apartment at 5 Moran St. The operation resulted in the confiscation of a substantial amount of drugs, firearms, and cash.

During the search, officials discovered approximately 190 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 6.6 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 17.5 pills thought to be Oxycodone.

They also seized three 9mm firearms, two of which had extended magazines, along with 9mm ammunition.

Additionally, $4,590.00 in cash was found at the scene.

Davanti St. Louis was subsequently arrested and now faces several charges, including trafficking cocaine in the amount of 100-200 grams, possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (fentanyl), possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (oxycodone), and multiple firearms charges, including unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm and ammunition without the necessary permits.

The arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and gun violence in the area.

The case is currently under further investigation, and authorities are working to determine if there are additional suspects involved.
