DORSET — A single-vehicle crash on US Route 7 led to the arrest of a Perkinsville woman early Wednesday morning.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene near mile marker 38.2 around 12:27 a.m. to find a 2015 Subaru Impreza with moderate damage.
The driver, identified as 43-year-old Kylie M. Plummer, had sustained minor injuries.
Plummer was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and did not require hospitalization.
She was cleared by the Northshire Rescue Squad on the scene.
According to the authorities, Plummer had been driving in Manchester before losing control of her vehicle and colliding with guardrails.
She continued driving until her vehicle came to a stop on US Route 7 in East Dorset.
During their interaction with Plummer, troopers noticed signs of impairment.
After a field screening, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
Plummer was taken to the Bennington Police Department for further processing, with a Drug Recognition Expert from the department assisting in the investigation.
