WAKEFIELD — A single-vehicle accident on Route 16 at Flynn Road led to the arrest of a New Hampshire woman on multiple charges Saturday afternoon.
Wakefield Police Department, along with Wakefield Fire Department and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the crash around 1:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, they discovered a red Subaru Legacy that had rolled over down an embankment past the guardrail.
Janet Curtis, the sole occupant and driver of the Subaru from Plaistow, NH, was assessed by EMS for injuries before being taken into custody.
Curtis was charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol, and two counts of Driving After Suspension or Revocation, including a second offense.
Following her arrest, Curtis was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
She was booked and released into the care of the medical staff.
Curtis is scheduled to appear in the Ossipee District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 9 a.m.
