FRANCONIA — Offering a cash reward for credible information, the Franconia Police Department appealed to the public on Friday for help in apprehending the individual or individuals responsible for a recent crime.
The department issued a statement asserting the unacceptable nature of the offense and vowed an aggressive investigation.
“This is not Franconia. This is not acceptable. And this will be investigated ferociously,” the statement read.
Police Chief Michael Cantara called on the perpetrators to come forward.
“To those who committed this crime, I extend to you the opportunity to come forward and answer to what you did. Take responsibility. You will be treated with professionalism and dignity no matter what,” Cantara said.
Details about the crime and the amount of the cash reward have not been released to the public.
The department urges anyone with information to contact them directly.
The hope is that the incentive will encourage witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident to assist in the resolution of the case.
