Driver arrested for DUI and drug possession in Rutland

RUTLAND — In the early hours of November 23, Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks arrested Justin Dugger, a 25-year-old resident of Brooklyn, NY, for DUI and possession of methamphetamine.

The arrest occurred at approximately 12:01 a.m. on South Main Street in Rutland following a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation.

During the interaction, troopers observed signs of drug impairment in Dugger.

A subsequent search of his person and vehicle led to the discovery of suspected drugs.

Dugger underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) and was taken into custody for DUI.

He was processed at the Rutland State Police Barracks and later released with a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court to face charges related to DUI drug and possession of methamphetamine.
