WAREHAM — A 31-year-old Wareham woman was charged with operating under the influence and negligent operation after her vehicle crashed into a cranberry bog early Thursday morning.
Wareham officers, along with the Wareham Fire Department and Wareham EMS Local 2895, responded to the accident on Maple Springs Road shortly after midnight on Nov. 23.
They found the car overturned and submerged in water.
A good Samaritan was assisting the driver, Alisha McGough, out of the vehicle when authorities arrived.
Firefighters searched the vehicle, the surrounding water, and secured any potential hazards at the scene.
McGough is scheduled to be arraigned at Wareham District Court on Friday, Nov. 24.
