ST. JOHNSBURY — A homeless man was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of violating the conditions of his release.
Dylan Heywood, 25, was taken into custody after St. Johnsbury police responded to a reported assault at 48 Eastern Avenue.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:36 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Heywood had made contact with an individual he was legally prohibited from approaching due to active conditions of release.
Heywood was subsequently lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Center (NERCC) after being unable to post the $200 bail.
The case remains under investigation by the St. Johnsbury Police Department.
