Two men arrested for drug possession in Lyndon

LYNDON — Two Vermont men were taken into custody early Monday morning after state troopers found them unresponsive with drugs inside a vehicle at a local Cumberland Farms.

Jacob Spencer, 36, of Sutton, and Andrew Davis, 36, of St. Johnsbury, were arrested after troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks, patrolling the area of 957 Broad Street, discovered the two men slumped over in the front seats of a running vehicle around 12:32 a.m.

Upon awakening the men, troopers observed signs of impairment and witnessed Spencer and Davis attempting to conceal containers filled with fentanyl.

Drug paraphernalia was also found scattered within the vehicle.

Both men were transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Spencer is facing charges of DUI – Drug and possession of narcotic drugs, while Davis is charged with possession of narcotic drugs.

Spencer and Davis are cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on March 18 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
