WILTON — A single-vehicle accident on Main Street at the traffic dummy resulted in the death of a man late Friday night, the Wilton Police Department reported.
Authorities received a call about the crash at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The Wilton Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated the male driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
The State Police, the County Attorney’s Office, and the Medical Examiner have been notified and are involved in the ongoing investigation.
Officials have not yet determined the cause of the accident and are seeking assistance from the public.
Witnesses who saw the vehicle before the crash or anyone with new information are urged to contact Officer Harris of the Wilton Police Department.
Responding units included the Wilton Police Department, Wilton Fire Department, Wilton/Lyndeborough EMS, Lyndeborough Police, Mont Vernon Police, and New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
