Three arrested in Bennington drug investigation

BENNINGTON — The Vermont Drug Task Force, along with several other law enforcement agencies, arrested Bryan J. Kenyon, 38, Jill M. Lebert, 46, and Richard L. Bump, 35, in Bennington yesterday.

The arrests followed a two-month investigation into the distribution of cocaine and fentanyl by Bryan Kenyon.

The operation utilized a confidential informant to purchase narcotics from Kenyon, leading to his apprehension.

At the time of his arrest, Kenyon, who was on probation and monitored electronically, was found in possession of substantial amounts of fentanyl and cocaine base.

Kenyon was arrested as a passenger in a vehicle, which also included Lebert and Bump.

In addition to Kenyon’s narcotics, police discovered fentanyl and cocaine base in possession of Bump and cocaine base with Lebert.

Kenyon, already on probation for previous charges including Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Fentanyl Trafficking, was lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

He is due in Bennington District Court – Criminal Division on November 20, to respond to the current charges.

Bump is scheduled to appear in court on December 18, and Lebert on January 22, 2024, to face their respective charges. The Bennington County State’s Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
