The 2005 Honda CRV sustained significant damage to the front end, hood, and windshield.

Vermont State Police reported clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the accident.

Deslandes, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Country Hospital.

The crash resulted in the utility pole splitting in half, causing emergency services to attend the scene.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that Deslandes was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and at a high rate of speed.

Deslandes was processed at the hospital and subsequently issued a citation for her second DUI offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
