CAVENDISH — A Cavendish man was arrested and charged with simple assault following an altercation on Main Street Tuesday night, according to Vermont State Police.
Authorities said they received a 911 call at 9:39 p.m. from Jefferson Borjan, 22, claiming he had been physically assaulted by Marco Alberto-Sanchez, 25, both residents of Cavendish.
Troopers responded to the incident location and determined that Alberto-Sanchez had assaulted Borjan.
After the investigation, Alberto-Sanchez was processed for simple assault.
He was issued a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
