MONTPELIER — Montpelier Police Department officers responded to an assault report at a Berlin Street retail establishment early on Nov. 11, leading to the arrest of a 58-year-old local man.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:03 a.m. when officers were called to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found that two individuals, who were known to each other, had been engaged in a physical altercation stemming from a business dispute.
Officer Quinn Montes and Sergeant Benjamin Michaud conducted an investigation which established probable cause to arrest Harold Megrath for simple assault.
