DERBY –– Community National Bank (CNB) Wellness Committee members recently attended a conference held at the Doubletree in Burlington. The Vermont Department of Health and the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports hosted the conference for 112 businesses that have Worksite Wellness Committees.
CNB received a Gold Award for the 2023 Governor’s Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award. Each year the committee completes a questionnaire that reports health and wellness resources in place for the organization. Out of 84 health and wellness categories being scored, CNB offers 70 to their employees.
To receive a Gold Award, organizations must score at least 80 percent on the questionnaire. CNB scored 83 percent. This year there were 77 Gold winners, 29 Silver winners and six Bronze winners.
The eight Wellness Committee members bring a lot of knowledge and fun to the organization throughout the year. Some of CNB’s wellness initiatives include step challenges, stress management, heart health, and a positivity challenge to name a few.
“We can’t thank our wellness committee enough for their time and dedication to provide us with learning opportunities and fun while promoting good health,” Human Resources Coordinator Melissa Tinker said.
