SALEM — A man was injured in a shooting on Horton Street early Monday morning, authorities said.
Salem Police responded to a call about shots fired at 23 Horton Street at approximately 7:51 a.m. on Nov. 13.
Upon arrival, one male victim was found and promptly transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.
Officials stated that the incident does not appear to be random and there is no perceived ongoing threat to the community.
However, the investigation remains in its initial stages and is actively ongoing.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and are requesting that people stay clear while they work the scene.
The Salem Police Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance.
