BOSTON — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Boston man on firearm and drug-related charges Sunday evening.

At about 6:55 p.m., on Nov. 12, officers from District C-11 in Dorchester pulled over a vehicle at 472 Talbot Avenue for multiple traffic violations.

During the stop, officers noticed the passenger, identified as Luis Malave, acting suspiciously by repeatedly reaching into his pants pocket despite being asked to show his hands.

Following a thorough investigation, the officers discovered a Ghost Gun with four rounds in the magazine inside the vehicle, along with several bags of marijuana.

Malave was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession with intent to distribute class D drugs.

He is slated for arraignment at the Dorchester District Court.

The driver of the vehicle received citations for the traffic violations and was released from the scene.
