FAIRFAX — A collision involving two vehicles occurred on I-89 Southbound near MM 111 early Thursday morning, with snow and slush contributing to the incident.

At 6:14 a.m., the Vermont State Police – St. Albans Barracks received reports of the crash.

Troopers, alongside local Fire and EMS teams, responded to the scene.

According to authorities, Ashley Wood, 33, from Rouses Point, NY, was operating a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snowy conditions.

The Outlander spun 180 degrees before being hit by a 2017 Ford F-250, driven by 40-year-old Justin Feeley of St. Albans.

The impact caused Wood’s vehicle to continue spinning into the median.

Feeley, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, collided with the front of Wood’s vehicle.

Despite the collision, no injuries were reported by either driver.

Both vehicles, which sustained damage to their fronts, were removed from the roadway.

State Police remind drivers to exercise caution during adverse weather conditions and ensure their vehicles are equipped for winter driving.
