NEWBURY — A single-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 91 North near mile marker 106 on Nov. 9, leaving the driver without injuries despite moderate damage to the vehicle.
At approximately 3:52 p.m., Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were called to the scene of the accident.
The driver, identified as 40-year-old Miles Blanco of Westmore, was found to have veered from his lane in his 2022 GMC Sierra, colliding with a guardrail.
The incident resulted in moderate damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Road conditions were reported as wet blacktop under cloudy skies, which may have contributed to the difficulty in maintaining the vehicle’s lane.
Blanco, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, did not sustain any injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Members of the Wells River Fire Department and the Vermont Agency of Transportation assisted the Troopers at the crash site.
The accident is a reminder of the importance of cautious driving during adverse weather conditions.
