NORTHBRIDGE –– A Northbridge man was arraigned and released on bail following a week-long manhunt involving multiple agencies, according to the local police department.
Adriano Jimenez-Reyes, 34, turned himself into the Uxbridge District Court on Nov. 6 after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Oct. 31.
Jimenez-Reyes is facing three counts of aggravated rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and assault and battery on a child with injury.
The Department of Police in Northbridge stated that Jimenez-Reyes fled his residence at 78 Church Ave on the day the warrant was issued, prompting a multi-agency search.
He was entered into a nationwide database as a wanted individual, and a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) notice was circulated, with particular attention to airports and U.S.
Border Patrol checkpoints in case he attempted to leave the country.
During the arraignment, the court set Jimenez-Reyes’ bail at $2,500 cash, which he posted.
The conditions of his release were not immediately disclosed.
The investigation and subsequent search for Jimenez-Reyes highlight the coordination between local law enforcement and national agencies in apprehending suspects charged with serious offenses.
The police have not released further details about the case, which remains ongoing.
