Vermont State Police seek information on Dummerston vending machine vandalism

DUMMERSTON –– Vermont State Police are investigating an act of vandalism that occurred early Monday morning involving a Pepsi vending machine and equipment belonging to Northeast Paving.

Authorities received a call at approximately 6:28 a.m. on Nov. 6, reporting the incident on W River Road.

A cutting edge and red hammer, possibly stolen, were left at the scene by the perpetrators.

The cutting edge is confirmed to belong to Northeast Paving.

According to police, a silver Chevrolet pick-up truck with a four-door extended cab was spotted near the vandalized machine around 1:00 a.m. The truck was noted to have an empty blue barrel in its trunk.

The Vermont State Police are actively seeking the owner of the red hammer and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Anyone with information related to the incident or the silver Chevrolet pick-up truck is urged to contact the VSP-Westminster Barracks.
