SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old inmate was cited for assault at Southern State Correctional Facility on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were notified that inmate Allen C. Draper, of Springfield, caused pain to another inmate, Austin T. Davis, 22, of Springfield.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Draper was issued a citation to appear in court on December 19 for the charge.
He remains incarcerated at SSCF.
