CONCORD –– A woman in her 30s was found dead in a South End apartment, prompting a police investigation, authorities said.
Officers and fire and rescue teams were dispatched to an apartment block on the 9-13 Downing St. around 8:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, the woman was confirmed dead by both police and emergency medical technicians.
Five police cruisers were stationed outside the apartment, and officers have been investigating the scene since their arrival.
A medical examiner was dispatched to the scene at 9:15 p.m. and evidence technicians for the police department arrived at about 11:30 p.m.
The duration of the woman’s death remains unknown.
