Charges filed after two-vehicle crash with injuries in New Haven

NEW HAVEN — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in New Haven today.

The crash took place on Route 7, near the intersection of Dog Team Road, at around 11:55 a.m.

According to the report, Brittany Aunchman, 29, of Salisbury, was traveling north on Route 7 and failed to stop for Anthony Neary, 83, of Middlebury.

Police say Neary was stopped in traffic and making a left turn on Dog Team Road prior to the crash.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision and were transported to Porter Hospital in Middlebury for evaluation.

Route 7 traffic was temporarily halted while New Haven Fire Department and Middlebury Rescue dealt with the crash scene and operators.

Police say Aunchman was screened at Porter Hospital for intoxication and processed for DUI.
